Bismark Owusu Mcclean

(CEO)

Greetings! I am Mcclean Bismark Owusu, an executive director for Basic Life Support Foundation—a passionate advocate for public health and education from Ghana. My academic journey has been rich and diverse, starting with a Bachelor of Science in Public Health focusing on Health Education from the esteemed University of Ghana, Legon.

Building on this foundation, I pursued a Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) at the University of Cape Coast, Ghana, followed by a Bachelor of Law (LLB) at GIMPA, augmenting my expertise with legal insights essential for effective healthcare advocacy.

To deepen my understanding of public health, I completed a Masters in Public Health at Ensign Global College, honing my skills in research, policy analysis, and program implementation.

Complementing my academic achievements, I obtained a Certificate in Leadership and Management in Health from the University of Washington, empowering me to lead impactful initiatives in healthcare settings.

Recognizing the importance of mental health support, I completed a Certificate in Counselling at Mokkaff Counselling Centre, equipping me with tools to address holistic wellness in community interventions.

My professional journey reflects my commitment to service and excellence. I began as a Health Aid at Sunyani Teaching Hospital, gaining invaluable hands-on experience in patient care and health promotion.

Transitioning to education, I served as a Tutor at the College of Nursing, Ntotroso, nurturing the next generation of healthcare professionals through mentorship and instruction.

Currently, I am privileged to serve as the Senior Public Health Officer and Head of both the Health Promotion Unit and Outreach Coordinating Unit at Cape Coast Teaching Hospital Ghana. In this role, I lead strategic initiatives to promote community health and expand access to essential services.

With a steadfast dedication to advancing public health and education, I am committed to driving positive change and improving the well-being of communities across Ghana and beyond.

Thank you for visiting my portfolio. Together, let us create a healthier, more equitable world.
