Mr. Moses Yaw Bediako

Moses Yaw Bediako is a dedicated Senior Public Health Officer currently serving at the Cape Coast Teaching Hospital. Born in Elmina in the Central Region of Ghana, Moses has built a robust professional foundation rooted in both academic excellence and practical field experience. He is a multi-lingual professional, fluent in English, Twi, and Fanti, which allows him to communicate effectively across diverse social and cultural landscapes—a vital asset in the realm of public health.

​Moses earned his Bachelor of Science in Public Health and Allied Science from the Catholic University of Ghana, where he studied from 2013 to 2017. This academic background provided the theoretical framework for his long-standing career at the Cape Coast Teaching Hospital, an institution he has served since January 2009. His steady progression through the ranks is a testament to his commitment to healthcare delivery and community wellness.


​In his current capacity, Moses holds significant leadership responsibilities. Since 2018, he has served as the 2nd Deputy Unit Head of the Outreach Coordinating Unit. Additionally, he acts as the Public Health Representative for the OPD Sub BMC. In these roles, he functions as a primary Programme Organizer and Outreach Coordinator, spearheading initiatives that bridge the gap between clinical services and community health needs. His work frequently involves organizing training sessions, ensuring that staff and community members alike are equipped with the latest health information and protocols.

​Beyond his administrative titles, Moses possesses a versatile suite of skills and competencies. He is recognized for his strong advocacy skills and high level of computer proficiency, both of which are essential for modern health data management and policy promotion. As a self-motivated professional, he is known for taking initiative and working efficiently with minimal supervision. His colleagues value him as a detail-oriented team player with exceptional communication and facilitation skills, making him a cornerstone of the public health initiatives within the Central Region.
