Fidelis Annabel Turkson is a highly accomplished health systems and health economics professional, distinguished by her extensive background in health services administration and institutional governance. Her career is built upon a robust academic foundation, holding a first degree in Health Services Management complemented by two master’s degrees in Health Economics and Public Policy & Management. This multifaceted educational background has equipped her with a unique lens through which to approach policy planning, implementation, and the rigorous monitoring and evaluation of healthcare systems.


​In her current professional capacity, Annabel holds several pivotal leadership roles that demonstrate her versatility and commitment to the health sector. She serves as the Head of the General Unit at the Cape Coast Teaching Hospital (CCTH) and acts as the Board Secretary for the African Health Economics and Policy Association (AfHEA). Furthermore, she manages the administrative functions of the CCTH Ethical Review Committee (ERC) and the Outreach Coordination Units. These roles require a high degree of operational management and the strategic coordination of multidisciplinary stakeholders within complex, high-stakes environments.
